Paris photography in the fall

I’m always dreaming of Paris.

Of course, if you read my blog you know that’s nothing new. And if you read my blog then that’s probably you too!

Hey, I’m a poet and didn’t even know…I was rhyming those words 😉 (Brooklyn 99 reference)

I found myself going through my past European adventures and realized I never fully properly shared my Paris pictures. I went for the first time 3 years ago and my photography was meh. My editing was meh. My blogging was meh. And I didn’t even take that many pictures! So…meh!

But still, Paris is a beauty and I wanted to dust off my favorite pictures, give them a makeover (new edit), and inspire your Friday with a good ole’ dreamy dose of Paris as well as share some reasons on why I think you should visit Paris in the fall…in 2020 of course!

1. Stopping in a cafe is even better in the fall

Rain, shine, winter, summer…people are going to go to coffee shops no matter what, but stopping in a cafe in Paris in fall feels even more amazing because you have a reason to get warm. Plus let’s talk about that feeling of a hot drink in your chilly hands and the feeling of taking that first hot sip. Ahhh.

2. It’s so romantic

Fall is the perfect time to take a stroll with your Hunny through cobblestone paths covered by fallen leaves. It’s not overwhelmed by people and you have a reason to stay close together to help keep each other warm. 😉 Yet it’s not too cold that being outside feels like a nightmare. You can walk briskly, yet take in all the scenery around you. Which brings me to…

3. The beautiful scenery

It doesn’t matter where you are…seeing the leaves change and drop is always so beautiful. But it’s even more beautiful in Paris when the backdrop is a stunningly ornate building. Or an old lampost. Or a vintage road sign. Or what beats it all, the lady herself! Aka the Eiffel tower!

4. You get to cozy up in fall clothes

We all know that fall fashion is some of the best fashion. The layers. The soft scarves. The chunky sweaters. The stylish boots…what’s not to love? If you’re going to visit one of the most stylish places in the world you might as well visit during one of the most stylish times ever! Show off your leopard print faux fur coat, your leather ankle boots, and/or your classic trench coat. All things you can’t really wear in summer!

5. It’s not as crowded

Sure, there will always be people and tourists, but life seems to slow down a bit in the fall. It’s nice to take in Paris without a million other tourists. It feels like you can breathe a little more. And hey, if you dress the part, you may not be noticed as a tourist at all!

I don’t believe in speaking things into existence (only God can do that), but I am just throwing it out there that in 2020, Paris, I want to be coming for you!!

What’s your 2020 looking like as far as travel? Any desires, dreams, concrete plans? Did I convince you to go to Paris in the fall? Or let’s be real- I did nothing. It was all the pictures! 😉
