How does it sound to have a hairstyle that lasts all day, through any element, and goes with every outfit and occasion? This isn’t a unicorn I’m describing….it’s real! 🙂
I really love the slicked back hairstyle. It’s like an instant facelift, and there’s no need to change your hair whether you’re running errands, going to work, or having a night out on the town.
I tried to do a slicked back hairstyle before and it didn’t really work out. It was frizzy, not slicked down, and well, the opposite of what I was going for 😉 But the secret to a successful and cute look? The right products!
If you’re going for a look like this, you need some serious hold. In order to have the magic of your hair lasting all day through anything, you can’t just pick up any old gel off the shelf. You’ve got to use something known for their amazing hold, something like göt2b® glued products!
You can get their products at Walmart, Target, CVS, Rite Aid or Walgreens. For this post, I got mine at Target and with the products just under $5 a bottle each, well there’s really no reason not to give it a try!
göt2b products are great for doing new and funky things with your hair, or they’re great for just holding in what you already have. I tested out both of these things doing my slicked back hairstyle!
I used the göt2b® ultra glued® Invincible Styling Gel to bring out and hold my curls (which worked fabulously by the way) and the göt2b® glued® Styling Spiking Hair Glue to slick down my crazy curls for a look that is sleek, chic, and high-end!
Doing a slicked back hairstyle is thankfully pretty easy and a great way to get your hands wet sticky with these products (hehe).
How to do the slicked back hairstyle
First, I started with my part and applied the göt2b® glued® Styling Spiking Hair Glue to damp hair where I wanted my hair to be slickety smooth.
I used a brush to help comb it down, but the process of applying this spiking hair glue was working well!
Then I used the göt2b® ultra glued® Invincible Styling Gel for my bottom curls in the ponytail. You can use it on damp or dry hair!
I was really impressed right away. I had never seen my crazy curly hair this smooth before without any flyaways! Plus, the styling gel kept my curls intact too so I felt like I got the best of both worlds! But I couldn’t just stare at myself in the mirror all day, I had to take this hairstyle out and see how it stood up to my day!
This hairstyle looked great getting my cold brew and going around the town. It looked very model off duty and well, who can complain about that? Move over professional models, I’m doing fashion week! 😉

You see that little curl thing I did? Well, I have this random piece of hair and for the last look, I thought I’d work with it and try something unique. The spiking glue was perfect for it. Even throughout all my head whips, it stayed in place!

All in all, I gotta say this stuff is the real deal. I was very impressed! It did what it said it was going to do and more. My hair was held down beautifully, without a stray hair in sight! It also kept my natural curls from being frizzy too (with no flakes)!
