With each new season comes a new set of trends, and while talking about trends and seeing what’s popular can be fun, trends will never serve you and your wardrobe the way classic pieces can! These 5 spring pieces you should add to your closet are easy to get your hands on, easy to wear, and bonus, with the right styling, you can wear them other times throughout the year as well!
1. Something Blush
I’ve always loved this light pink color…it was actually one of my wedding colors! I’ve had this blazer for a while without even trying to be trendy and funny enough, not only is it a great color for spring, but the color is hot hot hot this season! Add something blush to your closet…whether it’s a blazer, top, or shoe.
2. LWD (Little White Dress)
The LBD (little black dress) is timeless, yes, but why not add a fresh color to your wardrobe this spring? Not only will you look more tan, but white is awesome because it matches everything and looks amazing against gold jewelry!
3. Chunky Heel
Booties and OTK boots dominated fall and winter. Though some looks still look cool with them, it’s time to add a fresh, fun shoe to your wardrobe! I love this shoe in particular because it’s gives you the height and style of a heel, but it’s way easier to walk on (maybe I’m just bad in heels). Even though it’s a heel, it’s still a pretty casual shoe and something about it just screams “spring” and “cute!”
4. Button Down Dress/ Reconstructed button down
So this one is kind of a trend, kind of not. Button down shirts invented into something new is all the rage right now, so why not be trendy but also a little different by wearing a button down shirt invented into a dress? It’s cute, different, and has that springy “going for a walk or a picnic” vibe. Wear it for Memorial Day perhaps?
5. Distressed Shorts
Depending on where you live, spring weather is going to look a little different for everyone. I have friends on Instagram that are reporting spring weather in the 70’s…say what! So while distressed shorts might be more summer for some people, I want to play around with them this season and see the different looks you can get out of them!
Looove those shoes! What a fun trend. I got my blush top for spring and have worn it so much already. I looove your blazer. Thanks for the seasonal tips, I always look forward to them!
Isn’t blush just the best color??
