One city at a time I’m going through my recent trip to Europe. If you missed Paris, make sure you check it out and read on for my trip to Barcelona!
After a more adventurous trip to Paris, we took it easier in Barcelona and so in this blog post I’m going to do more of a recap of my highlights than a day-by-day version .
Barcelona was a really fun place to visit. Even though it wasn’t beach weather, it was warmer than Paris as it was just starting to snow when we left, so being able to walk around without a coat and the sun on my face felt really, really good.
My sister and I did lots of gelato eating and shopping (they have cool European stores!) and that was an overall good memory of the trip.
I saw a cool supermarket in Paris, but this outdoor food vendor/market was probably one of the coolest things I’ve seen (is that lame?) 😉 This picture below is just a small sliver of what they had. Rows and rows of people selling ready to eat food, sea urchins and assorted seafood, chocolates, oils, spices, and the list goes on. At this place I had the best mango I’ve ever had! Plus, coming from Paris where everything seemed so expensive, the prices seemed good to me here.
We walked around and came across a huge cathedral, a flea market, and two men singing beautiful songs right outside. It was so lovely. Plus, I love a good flea market!
Lots of goodies.
How picturesque is this??
There’s a short recap on my trip! Definitely a great place and I’d go back in a warmer time for a summer vacation!
Next up: Rome recap! Stay tuned!
Amazing! The market place would be my favorite!
I think you’d like it!
