Who doesn’t love a good style hack? Especially when it’s easy! And oh boy, am I happy to bring you a style hack today that is good and easy. Scarves are a wardrobe staple and they come in many styles and prints. I bet you have one that you love. If so, it’s time to pull it out. With this crazy easy tutorial, you’ll be able to turn your scarf into a skirt!
For this style hack, the scarf you use has to be an infinity scarf. Like the one below!
It’s ideal for this hack too if your scarf is light and flowy. No heavy fabrics here! Consider getting a scarf in a pretty floral print if you don’t already have one. Florals are great for spring and summer because this print is very feminine and an instant mood booster.
How to Turn Your Infinity Scarf into a Skirt
1. First, make sure you have an infinity scarf and not just a regular one
Also, you most likely will want to wear something underneath as a base depending on how sheer your scarf is. Something like a neutral bodycon skirt would work. It can act as a slip without being one.
2. Step into your scarf
Wow, these instructions are really hard. 😉 Haha, not much to say here!
3. Put a belt on over your scarf
After you’ve stepped into the opening, and pulled the scarf up, use a belt to cinch it around your waist.
4. Slowly pull up the top of your scarf to make it even and match
Feed the extra material through to cover the belt loop and match the length of your first layer. It’s up to you how short or long you want this to be. You can also change the style by belting around your waist or hips!
5. Voilá!Â
You’ve successfully turned your infinity scarf into a skirt!
This style hack takes just a few minutes. Easy, right? Not only is it fun to do, but you can maximize your wardrobe and get a super fun and unique look using something you normally wouldn’t expect. Now all these scarves in your wardrobe can become skirts. 2 for 1!
Because these types of scarves are usually thin, it’s best to try this in the summer. You’ll achieve an easy, breezy vacation look. And speaking of vacation looks…
As an added bonus, here’s another way you can turn your scarf into a skirt! Just tie it around your waist for a casual beach vibe.
I’m just missing that Bahama Mama in my hand!
Whether you wear this look to a beach or just out and about, it’s a cute spring and summer way to look chic and stay breezy.

Thank you, this was very clever. I have been working on having a more eco-friendly wardrobe, rejecting fast fashion, and I appreciate the idea on how to find multiple pieces for common items. A scarf into a skirt is a great idea. I’d love to see more articles like that – you have a great eye and way of writing that I quite enjoy.
